Photo Op: North Carolina Arboretum
The North Carolina Arboretum is a wonderful place for photography any time of the year. A CNPA Photo Op is scheduled there on Tuesday, June 27. Gates open at 8 a.m.
I plan to be in front of the Baker Exhibit Center at 8:15 a.m. I’ll have trail and garden maps and suggestions for areas in bloom.
The Arboretum does not charge an admission fee per person, but there is a $14 parking fee per non-member vehicle. Parking is free for Arboretum members. If you are not a member, but would like to take advantage of the member’s free parking, please contact me by email at email@example.com and I’ll try to arrange a shared ride.
When you have had your fill of photographing the gardens, you may want to check out several exhibits currently on display at the Baker Exhibit Center including work by painter Elizabeth Ellison and photographer Camilla Calnan. There is also a nice exhibit on butterflies. And if you have worked up an appetite the Savory Thyme Cafe is open 11-4 daily.
Please call or email if you have questions about this photo op.
Photo Ops are suggested locations for you to go, on your own, to capture sunsets, moonrises, spring flowers, whatever… They are suggested based upon research by Karen Rowe. These are NOT Field Trips. There will be no leader, but you’ll most likely find other CNPA members there. Think about carpooling!
